Beach Plein Air Art Festival is just one month away, set to kick off on November 2nd and conclude on November 8, 2015. Now entering its 6th year, the seven day event has risen in attendance and notoriety to become one of the most well-known art festivals in Southwest Florida. The Festival has expanded to celebrate seasoned as well as emerging fine artists.
The festival features the original creations of 60 national, regional and international artists in a wide variety of mediums artfully displayed at Santini Marina Plaza. Artwork will be created “in plein air” in the town of Fort Myers Beach during the preceding 3 days. Everyone is invited to watch them while they create their artwork Tuesday through Thursday. Collectors can have first choice at the gala preview party on Friday Nov. 6 from 5-7pm in the Santini Marina Plaza festival tent. There will be refreshments, music, a silent auction, a raffle and a cash bar at this free event. All original art work is available for purchase.
On Saturday Nov. 7 from 9am until 11am artists from professional to student level will be competing in the Quick Draw competition in Times Square. At 12:30 the awards will be announced and art will be available for sale on location until 2pm.
The festival tent will be open 9-6 on Saturday and 10-2 on Sunday. All proceeds benefit the Fort Myers Beach Art Association.
